Something different, something new. Experimenting with fashion has always been one thing I absolutely love doing and forever will. I’m not sure how this outfit started out but all I knew is I was looking to achieve a look that was something different, something new. I wanted to go for something that was out of my comfort zone but nothing too out of the world.
I have been inlove with this braid look/style since before it started trending. I was always just too afraid to try it out, but 2016 has brought with it a whole level of confidence in my life and I decided to just go for it (and I will admit, I no longer have the luxury of having enough time to sit for two days and have my hair done in its usual twist style).
I have rocked black lips before and I absolutely love them! But my oh my do they require a lot of labour. I achieved my black lip look by moisturizing my lips with Blistex DCT Lip Protectant/Sunscreen first and them filling my lips in with black Essence Eyeliner. Sounds easy enough but if ever you’ve played around with eyeliner and lip balm before then you will know how real the struggle is. You can’t see it in pictures (thank Goodness) but my hands and nails where all black and smudged by the time I managed to perfect my look. But it was all worth it.
I have raved about my favourite pair of blue highwaisted jean shorts before so I will not even go into that. The one thing that I could rave on and on about though has to be these trainers I got from Mr Price. I have never really been a fan of buying flat shoes (though I spend 99% of my life in them) but when I saw these babies I had to get them. They are so comfortable it’s unbelievable! The only problem I have with them would have to be the plastic on the outside. But the fact that they only cost R159.99 makes me feel like I don’t have the right to complain. I mean where else can one get such for so little?
This has to be one of the most comfortable looks I have ever blogged about. I felt like I could literally do anything in this outfit. For anyone heading to the PE Redd’s Carnival this weekend a look like this would be perfect. Super cool enough for you to be invited to the cool kids’ table (lol). And comfortable enough to run around in!
